Community Promo: But I really want to direct...
It's that time again!
reel_torchwood is back for another round of creatively re-telling your favorite movies. In past rounds, writers and artists have claimed a variety of film prompts for a special Torchwood interpretation. This time, we're trying something a little different...
In addition to the usual sign-up/claiming post (which begins September 10), we are currently running a prompt request post. So if you're not a writer (or you are, but just can't bend the bunnies to your will and write a good period piece), you have a chance to suggest (or plead, depending upon your preference) for someone to write an epic Jack/Ianto version of The Rock. Or a Gwen/Rhys telling of Across the Universe. Or a Myfanwy-led version of The Land Before Time. The prompt request post is here; and the post is open until this Saturday, September 10th.
For those of you wishing to participate in this round, our timelines and guidelines are here. We also have a mod query post--Ask a Producer--for anything that's unclear in the other posts. Something new we've adapted from
reel_merlin is a support community for this challenge, and we're working on the logistics of that and will have a post at the comm shortly. So if you're worried you'll be floating around in the celluloid ocean all on your own, there's no need to panic--we have a plan!
